Hey there,

I'm Frank Silvestré Arellano of Sil's Studio, I'm a contemporary fine artist located in Southern California. Utilizing my studio arts background alongside modern mediums I aim to capture daily life, the natural world around us, and quite simply compositions that bring joy, wonder, or some kind of emotional response. I suppose I'm an interdisciplinary artist of sorts as I tend to explore many genres and styles while creating and sometimes that falls within the bounds of photography or other digital works. When I'm not drawing, you can usually find me tending to my garden or playing pokémon.

"It is such an honor to be chosen as Artist of the Week and have my piece "Maaso Yi'iwame" (Deer Dancer) featured in the School of Art's weekly newsletter! This painting was a gift for my mother and is meant to honor her grandfather who was Yaqui Indian from Yuma, Arizona. To say the least, to be able to share my work with this wonderful community while attending university in Arizona is certainly a full-circle experience for me and one I will cherish for years to come".
